My Dream Lavender Hill Studio

I know I showed you this picture below. It is a picture of a "barn" on our property that will one day be my studio. That is my dream. My OTHER dream is to have a vintage pick up truck, painted LAVENDER to drive to all of the wonderful flea markets where I find my great vintage furniture to mosaic.

Well, Catherine Holman of Catherine Holman Folk Artist made my dream come true. I sent Catherine the picture above. I asked if she could paint my "studio" for me in the future. Like I want it to be someday. I asked for flower boxes, landscaping and a Lavender Truck....

When I received my painting today, I starting crying. It is so PERFECT! I just love it!

Look at the lovely landscaping....the amazing "mosaic" sign on the building and my dream Lavender Truck. (Click on any picture to enlarge for details)

I want to jump right into that painting and live there!

Another amazing thing about Catherine is that she creates wonderful stories about all of her paintings. Even the non real ones! Here is the wonderful story that came with my painting:

"Penny is the artful owner of Lavender Hill Studio Mosaics. She repurposes old furniture, teapots, trays, birdhouses, old windows and much more into functional works of art. Her loving husband, Kent, is her right hand man repairing, gluing and electrifying her flea market and antique finds. He also loves to create mirrors and birdhouses for her to apply her work to. They love each other dearly and work together like a well oiled machine."

Thank you so much Catherine! I am so honored to have this piece of art in my home and will treasure it always.

If you have a dream...or you are living in your dream house...go visit Catherine. She will create an amazing painting for you! She also paints wonderful paintings of sweet cupcakes, wonderful villages and so much more. Please click here to visit her blog and see more of her wonderful work. You will be so happy you did!

What a wonderful studio. You know, "they" always say if you can see it, you can do it...looking at the studio (and the lavender truck) just makes it all seem possible. Good luck with your plans!

Oh Penny how adorable!! I want a picture done now!

My precious brother built me a beautiful art studio three years ago and it changed my life. It has been a true joy to have in so many ways. A wonderful place to keep all of my old china too. Pictures of it were posted on Kimberly Ryan's blog last year. I think I'll post pics of it on mine again. I've been cleaning it the past few days.

Have a great weekend.
