Oh, how i love a fire outside, the aroma is just heavenly. We're a few weeks away from that yet.
Your "fluffed" porch is lovely.
I was just thinking a fire would be so nice on the back porch. I think we might give that a whirl on Sunday, when we get a minute to sit on the porch.
Have a great weekend, Penny!
I don't know what I'm jealous of more -- the fact that you have a wonderful outdoor fireplace or that it's actually cold enough to use it. :-)

Thanks for your kind comment on my 'Wednesdays...' post. So you've got that 3rd anniversary coming up? I hope you and your family will do alright. We lost my dad in 2001. It's so hard to say goodbye. Take good care.

Your porch post on Homegoods is so beautiful! I love the deep red color you use. We have been trimming trees so we have quite bit of firewood ready for toasting marshmallows and sipping hot cocoa:>) We got frost last night, my poor flowers, but I guess it's to be expected.
Love that mug! We're enjoying the cooler mornings and nights now too!

Hello Penny from Penny,
Hey there. How are you? I'm loving your music. The first song that is playing is Autumn Leaves. Not sure if you have it on random selection or if it's in an order from which you picked.
Anyhow... it's so nice to meet another Penny. My birth name is Penny Sue... and my sister is Becky Jane. Mom always used to say that she reminised about us (sisters) sitting on a big ol' porch in our rocking chairs in our golden years as Becky Jane and Penny Sue. Somehow... it is sweet to me. Mom will have been gone 10 years now. Very sad days coming with the 10 year anniversary of her passing on Nov. 1st, 1998.
I don't really know where my first name came from. Mom always said it was because of my copper colored hair; however, I'm not so sure about that since I didn't have any hair until about 6 months of age. But my middle name of Sue came from her best friend's first name. And I am honored to carry it on. She, Sue, has also passed on. I miss them both.
Anyhow... I noticed your blog as well because your blog site is lavenderhills and your name is Penny. Lavender is my absolute favorite scent and my name is Penny. What more could a chick ask for?
Hugs,
PS
Hi Penny!
It's been quite chilly here in Ohio! Last night I smelled that wonderful smell of hotdogs cooking on an open fire and the neighbors had their firepit going, having some goodies and fun!! It's that time of year!!
Love your recent posts!!
Hugs, Sherry
Hi Penny!
I hope you have a beautiful fall Sunday - love your porch!!!!
xo,
Kim
Three of my favorite things a campfire, hot chocolate and roosters! Looks like you have a lovely setting to sit back and enjoy a campfire. It is getting cooler here too, last night it was 42.

Just pass by and say "Have a wonderful Sunday"
I enjoyed browsing your blog site. So much inspiration.
Greetings from chilly Stockholm!
What a pretty scene!
I'll have a cup of cider please!
Penny, Finally, I am catching up with my blog friends and so much has changed. What a beautiful fall setting and how inviting for your blog friends! Our neighbor had an Oktoberfest in her Biergarten last night and we got to have fire in the fire pit. It is so beautiful with the cool evenings and clear skies.
Happy Fall!!!
Love the burning bush branches! OK now I'm off to look! hugs
Nothing is more wonderful than an outdoor fire in the Autumn...what a treat this is for you I know.
I am heading over to Home Goods now to see what you have been up to!
Love,
Sue
Morning, sweet Penny. I had a few moments this morning and wanted you to know how much I appreciate your concern about my family during the hurricane. I'll be posting soon.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You are getting me in the mood for fall!! Love that outdoor fireplace of yours!
Dearest Penny,
Boy I have missed you! I have been so busy getting my son married off and having Victoria here etc. that I have missed quite a few of your posts! Your outdoor fireplace is just lovely, wish I had one here on my patio, we have a fire pit but it is in the field next to the shop so it is a cold walk in the colder months...what a lovely red birdhouse I see in your picture! HA, wink wink!!!
I need to go now and spend some time catching up on all you have been up to!
XO,
Donna Lynn
Hi Penny!
That fire looks so snuggly ~ and a cup of hot chocolate or cider would really be just the ticket on a cool autumn evening! I'm so proud of you for doing your Home Goods blog! I'm heading over to take a peek at your porch right now!
Lots of Hugs, Bebe :)
Sitting around the fire sounds fabulous! I love your fall fluffing.
Hugs,
Donna
