I love fall and winter. I spend more time inside and I just love to nest. I did a little a little tweaking in my bedroom today.
I added a heavier checked quilt to my bed. Then I added a couple of deeper red pillows and some toile and checked pillows. I moved the bench that was in my kitchen nook to the foot of the bed. Now I need to find a chair to replace the bench in the kitchen nook. Isn't nesting fun?

Red seems to to be the color of choice for bedrooms lately. I am in the process of adding some red accents to our bedroom too. Did you get that quilt from Penny's? I saw the same one on another blog. I LOVE it. I want to make a red and white quilt for my bed but it would be so much easier and cheaper just to buy that one!
When we were up in the mountains I thought of you. We were near Boone.

I just got finished with mine and I'm excited to share the pictures. I love RED, but I wasn't inclined to use it this time. Perhaps in another room.

I have the quilt on order..it should be in this coming week...I have an old border in my bedroom to tear off...then to paint..I know you told me what your color is but....I've forgotten...a soft, pale but deep yellow?
I am going to start the tearing off process tomorrow...and hope to get it painted before Thanksgiving..just not sure I can do it and get all my cooking done, too...May wait until between Thanksgiving and Christmas...

Very pretty Penny! I am so into reds right now and my bedroom is reds and muted golds. So I really enjoyed seeing what you did! I really need to do some tweaking too but it will have to wait. I am still working on my "BIG" project and trying to get a little sewing in too. UUGHH there never is enough time in a day!

Penny, I always love your decorating style! I had to laugh when I saw BJ's comment on the way to leaving my own. I knew she would love it too. Sometimes I get a sense that we are all just chatting over the back fence, even though we are miles away. It's fun how a few little things can change the season of a room. I replaced my cream-colored sheets with a rich chocolate brown and with my dark raspberry toile pillows, it looks very cozy and fallish.

What a great bedroom Penny! Country French I's say :) Yes, I love nesting....I'm sad each day at 4:00 when I can't go out walking because it gets too dark...but in the house things are cozy and hobbies are around every corner! (or in every corner I should say...)
