A Cinderella Transformation

This is a true Cinderella story. Here is a mug...Now I love Firefighters. I really do. But this mug needs to go to the ball. And it can't go to the ball wearing a fireman's helmet! It needs to be dressed up in flowers. Maybe a little bluebird.

Aahhh. Now this is MUCH better, don't you think?

Yes, it is the same mug. I had a client request a pencil cup holder and she wanted a china bird and flowers on it. It was difficult to find something with a wide enough edge to set a bird on. My client offered the suggestion of a coffee mug with a big handle. It worked out perfect!

Have a great weekend!

I love the transformation. I also love the fireman's cup. I wonder who it belonged to and who drank from it...and if they were drinking coffee when the alarm went off, did they set the cup down hard and did coffee spill? When they got back from their job, did the person pick the coffee cup up, wash it, and then pour himself more coffee? How strange the way I think, huh Penny? Happy Easter.

Hi Penny! Thanks so much for visiting Comfort Cottage. I agree. The fireman's mug definitely needed help. The new mug is soooo pretty. The little china bird and flowers around the handle are sweet. You've even made a lowly coffee mug a thing of beauty to treasure. I'll visit again soon.

I've been on a blogging break a medical hiatus. So now...I'm catching up, by enjoying a stroll through the posts I've missed.
This Cinderella story definitely had the fairy tale happy ending. That is certainly the most exquisite pencil holder I've ever seen. I'm afraid I'd be more tempted to put a fresh bouquet inside rather than pencils.

Come by for a visit, the company would be nice.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
